The litigation practice includes suits under Business and Professions Code §17200 brought by public prosecutors and private plaintiffs as well as OSHA, workers’ compensation, and civil and criminal actions in serious workplace accidents, including fatalities. Mr. Raimondo represented the defendant in Arias v. Superior Court (2009), establishing that representative actions under Business and Professions Code §17200 brought by private plaintiffs must be brought as class actions. Additionally, Mr. Raimondo also represented the defendant in the Setton Pistachio of Terra Bella Inc. v Santisteban case, wherein the Court of Appeal upheld our dismissal of a lawsuit related to a workplace fatality.
